It is winter – fewer weddings during this holiday season. More to come next Month!
Rabbi Marsha Jane created a graveside ceremony for a family who lost their parents; their mother some years ago; and their father a year ago. Their parents were cremated but their cremains needed to come to New Jersey from California so they could be buried in a family plot. It was a beautiful cold but sunny day and the family was surrounded by friends and family. Other family participated by zoom.
Rabbi Marsha Jane spends time on the phone with family members in order to get information about the deceased. The eulogy needs to connect with who they were for their family. The goal of the service is to create meaning; provide closure; and most important, give the living a chance to
Rabbi Marsha Jane transformed my parent’s graveside service into something special. She conducted the service with the utmost professionalism, grace, and caring. It ran smoothly and also had us be a part of the ceremony. As she talked about my parent’s lives, I felt she really understood the kind of people they were. Although it was still a sad event, she instantly put us all at ease, and we came away feeling that we’d given my parents the kind of sendoff we had hoped for, and the closure we needed. It was an honor to have her conduct the service. Everyone that attended commented on how wonderful it was. I highly recommend Rabbi Marsha for any event you may have. You will be glad you did.
We can’t thank you enough for your beautiful words and ceremony for us. So many of our guests said how wonderful you were, and you made our day so special for us and also our family and friends. The highest compliment I can give is that my dad would have loved our ceremony, which is a testament to you.
We have our license packed for our honeymoon, as you instructed!
My husband and I truly can’t begin to express how deeply grateful we are for Rabbi Marsha Jane. You have completely redefined what a wedding ceremony can be — meaningful, joyful, and so full of heart. From the ketubah signing, you captured everyone’s hearts just as Mike and I knew you would. Our friends and family were in awe of how beautiful and touching it all was — they haven’t stopped talking about it since, still laughing, reminiscing, and still tearing up with joy. Those moments were, without a doubt, my favorite part of the entire day. To be surrounded by the people we love most, sharing such sacred, love-filled moments together, was something I’ll cherish forever. The wedding ceremony itself was truly beyond our wildest dreams. You had every single guest completely captivated, and Mike and I couldn’t stop smiling. Hearing everyone laugh, seeing their joy reflected back at us was everything we hoped for and more. To us, that’s what life is about: being surrounded by love, laughter, and connection. The personalized the ceremony for us was nothing short of extraordinary. You blended our heritages so beautifully, combining together something that felt uniquely ours while including everyone in the room. So many people have told us it was the most beautiful ceremony they’ve ever witnessed, and we wholeheartedly agree. Rabbi Marsha spent countless hours with us getting to know us, and personalizing our ceremony. She is a true gem and was very quick to answer all of my questions and put my nerves at bay. We are endlessly grateful for you and feel so incredibly blessed that you were part of the most important day of our lives. And more than that, we’re excited to have you in our lives for all the moments still to come.
